Rockstar Officially Reveals Six GTA 6 Radio Stations, Confirms Series' First On-Foot Podcasts

Rockstar Games put out a genuine official update on October 8, posting a new music page on the Grand Theft Auto VI website that previews six in-game radio stations ahead of the November 19 launch. This is a real Rockstar Newswire-style drop, not a leak or a rumor, and it comes with downloadable screenshots and roughly two-minute audio samples for each station.

The lineup spans a wide range of genres: Cocoteo FM for modern Latin music hosted by Bad Bunny and RaiNao (as El Martillo and La Gata), Back Country Radio for country with Morgan Wallen and Lana Del Rey, AfroBank FM covering African classics and amapiano with Burna Boy and Palms Trax, The Chamber 106.6 for metal hosted by Slayer’s Kerry King and Tom Araya, the returning Vice City staple Flash FM with Robyn and Alex Consani, and Dirty South Classics for regional rap with Trick Daddy and Trina. Rockstar also confirmed classic rock and talk radio stations exist beyond these six, meaning the full lineup is still bigger than what’s been shown.

The more notable mechanical confirmation buried in the announcement is that GTA 6 will let players listen to radio stations and the series’ first on-demand podcasts while on foot, using earbuds or headphones connected to in-game smartphones, rather than only while driving. Alongside the music reveal, Rockstar released a handful of new official screenshots, including one rainy Vice City shot that was sharp enough that some outlets and fans publicly questioned whether it was a real console capture, though nothing has emerged to contradict Rockstar’s official framing of it as in-game.

This fits the pattern of Rockstar’s current pre-launch marketing push, which has recently included an ESRB rating confirmation and other drip-fed details, as the studio builds toward the November 19 release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S without yet revealing a complete track list or station roster.
